Hi!  My name is Carrie Thomson.  I am a wife and a mother of three who loves to travel.  My husband and I have traveled to 15 countries and 15 states in the last year alone, and we have done so affordably!  I am an expert at finding deals and making our trips as memorable and hassle free as possible.  I'd love to help you do the same.  Weather you are taking the trip of a lifetime, or the trip of the year, I'd like to share my tips, tricks and reviews to make it a memorable one!

I chose the Happy Llama name for many reasons, not the least of which is because I want both my experience and yours on my blog to be a happy one, and who can't be happy with faced with the image of a Llama?   However, as I mentioned, I'm a mom of three, my oldest, Austin, is 22, my youngest, Katie, is 17 (we have had several memorable trips together, as you'll see in some of my pics!!), but my middle son, Ryan, passed away when he was 15.  He would have been 19 now.  He loved Llamas!  So this blog is also dedicated as a tribute to him, and his Llama legacy.
